From the unset of my life, I had wanted to be something so special in life. I aspires to be in level which my parents could not even cast their eyes on, talk more of seeing me through to it.
In my fith year of life, I wanted to be a priests but the truth was that I was not fully my self before using such word, and I believes God must have forgiven me for childishly making such an option in the first place. And in my nine to Tenth year, I grew paranoid of becoming three things, all at a sketch, a lawyer, a teacher and a writer, even Engineering was not far from wants, though referred by friends who witnesses my prowess in creativity; using cartons to build house and others, but I knew that's not my real desire.
After my primary Education, my secondary school journey began with a special science school from where I proceeded to an art and humanity school, because I could not find any interest in science. So I had to run on time to avoid shattering the boat in the middle of sea.
Keeping my dreams alive, I made novel reading a culture, especially novels relating to crime and law. A bad book that has court, lawyer and other legal terms as it's contents, would never be bad in my view, and I love reading crime and law first, each time I get hold of any newspaper. I do love to watch lawyers debate on films, and I do love to attend court's session but the opportunity never came. I only get to pass through it, piping each time to see only the duck and pews. I was only opportune to be in office of commissioner of oath where my money went missing in some retarded controversy, but that's another story.
Each time I see lawyers, even on the pages of magazine, how neat they dress, the coily golden colour of their wigs, the shiny crush of their shoes, their big bags and files, my hunger for law reimburses. The English they spoke, the money they make and the risk at it, were all secondary to me; I so much love the dress. And I began to wear black trousers and white shirts each Sunday to church. I would've love to wear it all day, if mum could've allowed me. How happy I would be if she had bought a black tie and wig as I pleaded, how great it would've been if she had bought me files, but mum said not yet time till.
Years later, in my senior class one, I was lucky and fortunate to be among the four candidates chose to represent my school at ken katas foundation seminar. The seminar was educative and alluring, and if I couldn't memorize all that was thought that day, the dressing lesson can never skip my memory because I don't have it in my memory but in my heart. It flows from my veins to heart and from arteries to body.
A boy loves following Dr. Ken, a qualified international Medical practitioner, whose life story is a water for baptism of numerous brain dead students. The boy's poor mother was angry at how her jobless and students son would be wallowing with Dr. Ken, some one who had made it in life, every day on suit as if he had gotten employment or stand on his own. She was not happy at all. One day she said to him after he had putting on his suit to move out with Dr. Ken. "Son each time you put on suit and follows this Dr, forgetting that we have nothing. Don't dress as if we have it all, we have nothing"
"MUM" he said "I AM NOT DRESSING ACCORDING TO MY CONDITIONS BUT ACCORDING TO MY DESTINATION" And the mother was shocked at such reply.
Q: Do you still dress tarted so that the rich will see you as a poor and help you?
Answer: It never like that. A tarted man can not make any input in the eyes of the rich. You're poor and abjectly has nothing to offer. He rather go for a well nice person. Your dressing is the person you are. DRESS ACCORDING TO YOUR DESTINATION NEVER ACCORDING TO YOUR CONDITIONS.
Q:- Do you put on everyday one clothe, so stingy to look nice, so that your poor parents will say, yes you don't spend extravagantly?
Answers: your parents are your parents and you is you. You own your life, and only you owns it. Your are actually depreciating your market value. Tell them It's never extravagances but extra vacant for opportunities. Dress nice, because you have a destination.
Q: Do you think dressing according to your destination makes you different from what you wanted to look like, or against your believe?
Answer: If you knew your faith will make you not dress according to your destination, why don't you choose a destination to your faith? Or have you ever seen a man with jersey working in mines? Each destination has its modus operandi, and I hope you can follow yours and be great. Daalu nu riee (Thanks very much)
Still me Ben waiting for a day when we all shall raise our necks, praising God and admiring each other for making it to his or her destination, and I must thank God for the grace he had endowed on us.
